Information we collect

• Account and contact information, including name, phone number, email, profile image, and preferred language.
• Driver verification information, including licence, vehicle, insurance, identity, KYC, bank, IFSC, and payout details.
• Precise location and route information while online, accepting work, or completing a trip or delivery, including when the app runs in the background where permission is granted.
• Trip, parcel, fare, payment, wallet, settlement, rating, support, safety, call, and communication records.
• Device, app, network, crash, diagnostic, security, and usage information needed to operate and protect the service.

How we use information

We use information to verify drivers, match and manage rides and deliveries, provide navigation and live trip updates, calculate fares and earnings, process payments and settlements, prevent fraud, respond to support and safety incidents, comply with law, and improve service reliability.

How information is shared

Relevant driver, vehicle, location, and trip information may be shared with customers, passengers, parcel senders or recipients, emergency contacts, and authorised support staff. We may also use vetted service providers for maps, communications, cloud hosting, analytics, payment processing, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. We do not sell personal information.

Location permissions

Location is essential to dispatch, navigation, live tracking, safety, and accurate trip records. Drivers can manage location permissions in device settings, but disabling them may prevent the app from offering or completing work.

Retention and security

We retain information only as long as needed for service delivery, disputes, safety, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and applicable legal obligations. We use administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect information, although no system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Drivers may review or update profile and payout information in the app and may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion where permitted by law. Account deletion may be requested through the app. Some records may be retained where legally required or needed to resolve safety, fraud, payment, or contractual matters.

Children

The VRides Driver service is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age.
